What an ATS check actually checks

Machine-readable text, in the order a parser reads it. Standard sections and dates it can classify. Coverage of the job description’s real terms — attached to evidence, not stuffed.

What it cannot do: predict a hiring decision. Any tool that promises you a “pass” is selling certainty nobody has. We show the checks, the extracted text, and the rubric — read the methodology.

Questions, answered plainly

Can this guarantee my resume passes an ATS?
No tool can. Employers configure their systems differently. What we can do is show you the text a parser extracts, flag the structure problems that commonly break parsing, and measure how well your resume covers a specific job description — the things actually in your control.
What is the extracted-text view?
It is your resume rendered as plain text in the order a parser reads it. If your name, dates, or jobs come out scrambled or missing there, they may come out that way for an employer's system too. All our templates are built so this view stays clean.
Is the checker free without an account?
Yes. Paste your resume text, get the score, the extracted text, and the fix list — no account, no card, no scan credits. Accounts exist only if you want your resumes backed up and synced.
Should I add every missing keyword the checker finds?
Only the ones that truthfully describe your experience. Keyword coverage helps a parser match you to a posting; invented skills fall apart at the first interview question.
Are ads included in my resume?
Never. Ads appear only on this site's public pages and in the brief export screen. The document you download — PDF or DOCX — contains your resume and nothing else.
